Kingma’s Market

First Companies was hired to construct the newest location for Kingma’s Market in downtown Ada. Part of the new Ada Village, Kingma’s is one of multiple new buildings First Companies has built in the area. The beautiful store has nearly 14,000 square feet on the main floor with a small mezzanine above. This ground-up construction project was modeled after an old mill in keeping with the theme of the area. The building is masonry block bearing with all block remaining exposed and burnished to create the rustic interior finish. The roof is a combination of heavy timber glulam trusses and rafters that support a larger span with sips roof panels covered by a standing seam metal roof. The exterior façade is primarily brick with precast accents and metal panels. Large windows throughout flood the market with natural lighting.
At the same time Kingma’s Market was being built, First Companies also completed a multi-tenant retail building just adjacent to the market. Kingma’s Market is also home to Rowster’s Coffee Bar and offers a full service custom meat and seafood counter by Fish Lads and Carvers.
