Two James Distillery was looking to expand their Detroit business into the Grand Rapids market. Through industry networking, they became aware of a space within a mixed-use building, known as Lofts on Michigan, conveniently located near the heart of the city. Given First Companies\u2019 reputation, and that they had constructed the building, Two James Distillery selected the company for the buildout of their new 950-square foot tasting room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The size of this space required First Companies to get creative, and though small, the end-product feels very spacious, providing a variety of seating options for guests to enjoy, while also ensuring room enough for a fully stocked and operable bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The design was a collaborative effort between First Companies and the owner. The use of exposed brick, high ceilings and trusses combined with one-of-a-kind wall paintings and infused with earthy tones from the furniture and d\u00e9cor creates a unique, vibrant environment that puts a twist on the industrial-style d\u00e9cor often found in urban spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
