First Companies was delighted when our friends at SportingU reached out to us to help them with an addition to their existing building. The company has seen significant growth as they have become a hub for screen-printing, embroidering, and customizing uniforms, attire, and other soft and hard goods for local and national businesses.
SportingU’s primary goal was to expand their footprint to consolidate all their operations in one location, with plenty of space for product storage. It was important to create a space that easily housed all essential equipment and facilitated an efficient workflow.
This pre-engineered, 10,200 SF, light-industrial addition was built using insulated metal paneling, brick, steel, structural cold form studs and polished concrete flooring that boasts a clean, modern aesthetic. The client now enjoys a space which includes a large screen-printing area, embroidery room, dark room for etching, mezzanine for product storage, and new bathrooms and breakroom. Our extensive experience and long history of constructing industrial and manufacturing facilities in West Michigan made First Companies a great fit for this project.
