First Companies was selected to build Gourmet International’s new facility because of their extensive experience and long history of constructing industrial and manufacturing facilities for many companies in West Michigan. The 124,000 SF building includes 16,000 SF of well-planned office space and 12,000 SF on a second level for executive offices, storage, and an employee training room.
Given the food products the company sells, it was essential to create a warehouse area that maintained the quality of their products as well as improved the efficiency of their packing and shipping operations. The building features two refrigerated rooms and one large freezer for product storage. The entire facility is temperature controlled with an audio system and security monitoring systems throughout.
