National wealth management firm, Benjamin Edwards, partnered with First Companies to construct their 100th office: a 3,700 SF tenant build-out in Wyoming, Michigan. With an office in downtown Grand Rapids, the wealth management firm looked to expand its footprint and establish itself outside the city center. The project represented a collaborative effort among First Companies’ teams with the Real Estate team securing the lease, the Construction team overseeing the project build-out, and the Property Management team providing ongoing facility support.
The suite’s layout balances privacy and openness, which now includes private offices, a glass-walled conference room, an open waiting area, a break room, and restrooms. Soft, plush carpeting in the offices gives way to luxury vinyl tile in the higher traffic areas, while painted drywall and drop ceilings with integrated LED fixtures keep the look clean and fresh. Anchoring the design is a demountable glass partition system at the main entry and a conference room that delivers flexibility and sound control.
Installing the demountable glass partitions required early vendor engagement, precise measurements, and custom trim for a flawless fit. Meanwhile, a compressed schedule demanded tight sequencing of demolition, MEP rough-ins, finishing, and punch-list work. With an 8-week timeline from start to finish, this project was managed for immediate occupancy and streamlined workflow. Through detailed planning and ongoing coordination, First Companies delivered a beautiful space on time and on budget. Benjamin Edwards now enjoys a functional office ready for immediate use.
