Norman Family Dentistry

For 35 years, Norman Family Dentistry has called the village of Ada “home.” So it was no surprise that when it was time to expand, Dr. Devin Norman didn’t want to venture far. He didn’t have to as his mentor and uncle, Dr. Chris Norman, years before had purchased the adjoining property to the north for that purpose. Working to build with the historic character of the village in mind, Dr. Norman, the architect, Ken Dixon, and First Companies met with the Ada Planning Commission to discuss appropriate building design and character.

The result of detailed planning, this 13,750 square foot facility gives the appearance of two adjoined buildings with navy lapboard siding on one side and barn red board and batten siding on the other. A covered porch, utilized for handicap accessibility, connects the farmhouse structures. The office features a waiting area with a vaulted ceiling and exposed wood trusses, a fieldstone fireplace and design details made to reinforce the character throughout the dental practice.

“It’s a beautiful office and our patients have been really impressed,” says Dr. Norman. “Our staff loves it. We’ve also added lots of new patients who stopped in because they noticed our new building.”
