Safeway Packaging
For Kevin Manor, 2006 and 2007 were busy years. In 2006, he and co-owner Butch Stoner guided the move of their company, Action Packaging to a new building in Caledonia. Then, in 2007, Manor coordinated a move for Safeway Packaging, the company he owns in the western Ohio town of New Bremen. Having worked with First Companies in the past, “I was thrilled that they were willing to get involved in the Ohio project,” recalls Manor.
In 2006 with Safeway’s two facilities bursting at the seams, Manor purchased a building site in nearby New Bremen. Working with several team members at First Companies we helped him plan the massive, 260,000 square foot facility that would consolidate two plants into one. Safeway now operates much more efficiently,
Highlights of the facility include load bearing tilt up precast panels, 50 foot bay spacing, partial mezzanine, and multiple truck docks to help its customers meet their just-in-time delivery requirements.
