With a history of constructing commercial manufacturing/warehouse spaces, consider this another first-class project for First Companies. Designed as a seven-unit building, this pre-engineered facility features concrete masonry and high performance metal siding. Highlights of each unit, or modular bay, include a loading dock, drive-in overhead door, and rear-entry.

Michigan Lasercut partnered with First Companies on this project to design and build its new facility. “The company came highly recommended,” said Steve Schroeder, President of Michigan Lasercut. “As our comfort level grew, we left more and more of the decisions to them, because they clearly knew what they were doing. It allowed us to focus on our core business.”

A tenant of First Companies for nearly twenty years and tenant in the 4101 40th Street Knott & McKinley had experienced a change in their business model and were in need of new space. “We quickly settled on new space nearby that we could organize to meet our needs, which had changed in several ways,” explains Sue West. “Over the years I’ve worked with Craig (Baker), Jeff (Baker), and Julie (VanderPloeg). They are always willing to help. They listen to your needs, then find a way to meet them quickly. I always know they will take care of us,” says West. “They always have.”
